Obituary
Janet Karch, 66, of Woodlawn passed away Friday morning, December 23, 2022 at her home after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Janet was born in Mt. Vernon, IL on July 12, 1956 the daughter of Wilburn Scott & Helen Elizabeth (Hicks) Toney.
She married Martin Karch on June 16, 1979.
Mrs. Karch graduated from Mt. Vernon Township High School, she attended Rend Lake College and Southern Illinois University. She worked at Continental General Tire for over 40 years, and was also the co-owner of Leaf Removal & Landscape.

Son: John Karch & Jennifer Dilcher
Daughter: Sheila Karch
3 Grandchildren: Kaylee, Ayden & Emma
Sister: Karen Gentles & husband David
Janet will be greatly missed by her family & friends and by her four legged friends (cats).
Mrs. Karch was preceded in death by her Parents.
A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, December 30th at the Saint Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Mt. Vernon with Father Nick Junker officiating. Burial will follow in the Kirk Cemetery in Ina. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 29th at the Johnston Funeral Home in Ina.
