Geraldine Jo (Kohut) Ramsey

Geraldine Jo Ramsey, 82, of Sarasota, FL passed away Friday, September 20, 2019 at 11:00 P.M. at her home with her Brother and Sister-in-law by her side.
She was a retired self employed cosmetologist.
Mrs. Ramsey was born April 5, 1937 in Ina, IL to Joseph Kohut and Venita (Tyler) Kohut. She married Randall Ramsey May 1, 1951 in Pocahontas, Arkansas and he preceded her in death on september 17, 2001.
She is survived by one son Terry Ramsey of Lake Placid, FL, a grandson Billy Harbaugh of Ithica, NY, a granddaughter Dawn Ramsey of Sarasota, FL, one brother Joe Kohut and wife Connie, one sister Rosalee Fryar all of Mt. Vernon, sister-in-law Geraldine Allen and brother-in-law Ted Ramsey both of Bonnie, many loving nieces and nephews, and special caregiving friends Alan & Josie Churchill of Sarasota, FL.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, a daughter Vickie Ludwig, a sister Bonnie Moore, father-in-law and mother-in-law Roy and Neveda Ramsey, brother-in-laws Billy Dave Fryar and Paul Allen.
She was Baptized April 2, 1961 at the First Christian Church in Joliet, IL.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 1st at the Bethel Memorial Cemetery in Mt. Vernon with Pastor Tim Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow. The will be No Visitation, those attending the service are asked to meet at the cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Cancer Reasearch Association or The Parkinsons Disease Association.
As per Mrs. Ramsey's wishes her daughters cemains will be buried with her.
