Thomas Edward Rightnowar

Thomas Edward Rightnowar of Bonnie passed away 8:30 P.M. Sunday, March 3, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family.

Tom was born March 27, 1942 the son of Jim & Lucille (Peterson) Rightnowar. He married Carol Book on April 28, 1962 at the Bonnie Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 7th at the Johnston Funeral Home in Ina with Rev. Merle Fullerton officiating. Burial will be in the South Hickory Hill Cemetery in Mt. Vernon. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Johnston Funeral Home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Greg & wife Stasey of Mt. Vernon and Tony & wife Michelle of Mt. Vernon. Granddaughter Falon (Cory) Breeze. Grandsons Dylan and Brett Rightnowar (Mac). Great Grandchildren Alyssa, Korbyn & KJ Breeze. Step-granddaughter Lexy (Justin) (Taryn & Archer) Step Grandson Brandon (Bo, Julia & Zola). One brother Charlie (Paula) Rightnowar of Mt. Vernon. Sisters-in-law Mae Spangler of Bluford, Colleen Rightnowar of Mt. Vernon, Phyllis Rightnowar of Mt. Vernon. Nieces Angela, Sherry, Kim, Tammy, Savanna, Jessica, Ryan, Jennifer, Jamie. Nephew Gary Dean.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Sister Millie Lynn, Brothers James, Larry, Gary, Sister-in-law Marla Howard. Father-in-law & Mother-in-law: Duward & Mildred Book.

He worked for the State Highway Department for 35 years. He served in the US Navy. He enjoyed gardening. He enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and he taught them all to love the outdoors. Close family was of the most importance.
