Anna Katharina (Kaspar) Morgan

Anna Katharina Morgan, 83, of Ina passed away on October 4th, 2019 at 4:47 p.m. at Countryside Manor in Mount Vernon with her family by her side.

She was born in Vollmau, Germany on January 18th, 1936 to the late Josef and Katharina (Kussinger) Kaspar, and stepmother, Anna Brandl Kaspar.

She married Joseph Lewis Morgan in Germany on December 16th, 1960 and he passed away on February 19th, 1994.

She is survived by her three children:

Son: Joseph Morgan and wife Tammy of Ina, Children: Ethan Morgan of Ina, and Taylor Morgan-Smith and husband Larry Smith III of Ina;

Son: Jim Morgan and wife Tressa of Mount Vernon, Children: Amanda Mosler and husband Michael and their son Morgan Mosler of Marion, Jessica Morgan and significant other Darrell Kehrer of Scheller, Tyler Morgan of Mount Vernon;

Son: Steven Morgan and wife Stephanie of Belle Rive, Children: Aaren Morgan and Ashtyn Morgan.

Four Sisters in Germany: Ida Mayer, Kathi Kohlmeier, Rosi Kies, Annerl Gilch;

Three Brothers in Germany: Josef Kaspar, Waldemar Kaspar, and Fritz Brandl. She had several nieces and nephews.  

Eight Brother-in-Laws: Van Morgan, Jim Morgan, Enoch Morgan, Robert Morgan, Charles Morgan, Terry Morgan, John Morgan, and Randall Morgan.

Seven Sister-in-Laws: Lucy Webb, Martha Ellis, Patsy Chelf, Virginia Wheeler, Linda Smith, Jane Melton, and Mable Cates.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, several brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, and nieces and nephews.

She worked in Dietary at Crossroads Hospital for several years.

She loved her family, friends, and her beautiful horse Whitey. She loved to cook and made some fabulous German food. 

Visitation will be held at Johnston’s Funeral Home in Ina on Sunday, October 6th, 2019 at 1 p.m. and funeral on October 7th, 2019 at 11 a.m. Burial will be at South Hickory Hill Cemetery to follow.
