Bobby Dean Kash, 87, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 10:37 A.M. at Countryside Manor Nursing Home in Mt. Vernon.
Bobby was born April 23, 1934 to Virgil and Sula (Page) Kash in Jefferson County, IL. He was married to Darlene Kash for more than 55 years before her passing in 2011. They were married on December 16, 1955.
Bobby is survived by children: Michael (Tricia) Kash and Tara (Ryan) Willis, grandchildren; Lynn Ann Kash, Matthew (Kira) Kash, Amy Gregory, Shane Kash, Jarrod Kash (Lexi Pedtke), Lauryn Willis, Luke Willis, Gabe Willis, Kyle (Tiffany) Kluck, Kole (Sarah) Kluck, and great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law; Noma Lee Kash, Naomi Whitlock, Phyllis Kash, Wayne (Brenda) Kash, Jackie (Audrey) Kash, Bill Pierce, Kenneth (Helen) Kash, Glenda (Jimmy) Downen, brother-in-law Ron Reynolds and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as his special helper Freda Schmit.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene, son Robert Dale Kash, grandchildren, Shirley and Seth Kash, sisters, Norma Kash and Jo Ann Pierce, brothers, Floyd Kash, Junior Kash and twin brother Billy Kash, sisters-in-laws, Beatrice Kash and Janie Reynolds, nephews Danny Kash, Jon Reynolds and great-nephew Benjamin Kash.
Bobby and Darlene initally lived in Arlington Heights, IL where Bobby worked for Ford Motor Company. Later they were stationed at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, NC. Bobby served his country as a paratrooper in the United States Army with the 82nd Airborne Division. They eventually moved back to southern Illinois in 1966 to farm full time and raise three children. Bobby was an avid outdoorsman and hunter and fisherman his whole life.
There will be no services for Bobby, per his request.
