Charla Jean (Frick) Walls, 68, of Inverness, Florida, formerly of Bonnie, Illinois, left her earthly home on October 17, 2024, at her residence. Charla was born March 30, 1956, to Marvin Dean and Deloris Colleen (McMillin) Frick.
Charla worked as the Administrative Assistant for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office for 33 years, where she retired in 2019.
Charla loved sewing, the sunshine in Florida, and her church family, but her greatness love and pride and joy was her nephew Jacob Ryan Frick. Anytime you talked with Charla you knew part of the conversation was going to include Jacob. She was very kind and loving and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Charla is survived by her brother, Marvin Ray Frick, and wife Sandra, nephew, Jacob Ryan Frick, several aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as her two very best friends in Mt. Vernon, IL, Carol Johnson and Jana Bratcher.
Charla was preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Colleen.
Per Charla’s wishes there will be no public services. A private immediate family burial will take place at later date. Memorials in Charla’s memory can be given to the Abner Cemetery and sent to Johnston Funeral Home in Ina, IL, or to her sister-in law, Sandra Frick, in Bonnie, IL.
