Charles Olin Neal

Charles Olin Neal (Rough Rider), 73, of Belle Rive passed away on September 9th at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon surrounded by his children and grandchildren.

He was born on August 18, 1949 to the late Howard and Minnie Neal of Belle Rive. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Barbara and Minnie Lou, and brothers Freeman and Mark.

Charles is survived by his children: Casey Neal and boyfriend Will of Belle Rive, James Riley Neal and wife Michelle of Belle Rive, Chuck (Charles) Neal and wife Charity of Texico, Nathan Smith and girlfriend Annette of Mt. Vernon, Chad Neal of Belle Rive and Tammy Peyton and husband Ron of Belle Rive. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Chris, Alanna, Hannah, Reanna, Brayden, Brandon, Tiara, Jayden, Allyson, Chelsea, Charles Jr., Sara, Chad Jr, his great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his brothers William Neal of Belle Rive, Don Neal of Dahlgren and DeWayne Neal and wife Dianne of Ina.

Charles worked for the Village of Belle Rive for the majority of his life. Lots of people knew him but even more loved him. Not only did he did he take care of his family, he helped everyone he met.

He loved to spend time tinkering with cars and motorcycles when he wasn't at a flea market or auction. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy, and so was his fur baby Pepper.

He was a man with a big heart, and a love for fun times and Rock n' Roll.

Charles wish was to be cremated, and a Celebration of Life will be held on September 24th at the Belle Rive Baptist Church Center starting at 11:00 A.M.

The family asks that you remember their father by the love he gave and memories he left.
