David Axe

DAVID AXE, 72, of Bonnie died Saturday evening, March 27, 2021 at the VA Medical Center in Marion.

He was born in Indianapolis, IN on December 15, 1948, the son of Harry Axe Jr. & Velma Agnes (Childers) Axe.

Mr. Axe served in the U.S. Army from April 30, 1968 to April 23, 1970. He was an expert heating & cooling technician, companies and technicians would quite often call him after his retirement to assist them in troubleshooting a problem.

Mr. Axe is survived by his:

Son: Jeff Axe of Bonnie

Daughter: Lisa Flanagan & husband Richard of Sparta, TN

2 Grandchildren: Ezekiel Axe & Wyatt Houseworth

Former Wife: Janice Strain of Bonnie

Sister: Linda Baltzell & husband Don of Mt. Vernon

Brother: Dan Axe of Mt. Vernon

He was preceded in death by his Parents.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 P.M. THURSDAY, April 1, 2021 at the Johnston Funeral Home in Ina with Bro. Brad Ryan officiating. Visitation will be at 12 Noon on Thursday at the funeral home.

We ask everyone attending the services to be considerate of others and to practice social distancing. We are limited to 50 people in our building at a time, and masks are recommended.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made in David’s memory to the Jefferson County Animal Shelter.
