Jim Likens

Jim Likens, 66, of Bonnie passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021 doing what he loved.
He was born on June 2, 1955 in LaPorte, IN the son of Archie Benjamin & Dorothy "Dot" (Hargus) Likens.
Jim married Kathy (Turner) on July 2, 2004.
He graduated from MVTHS in 1974. He enlisted while still in High School in the Army. He was discharged in 1976 and then went to Rend Lake College receiving his Associates Degree in mechanics. He owned & operated Jim's Amoco & Jim's Marathon and worked many years for Ron Kruep. He presently worked as a Bus Driver & Custodian for Opdyke Belle Rive Grade School.
Jim loved his billy goats, his dog and his cat Valentina. He loved to fish and sit out underneath the stars around a bonfire, but most of all Jim loved his family.

Mr. Likens was preceded in death by his Parents 
Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 26th at the Belle Rive Missionary Baptist Church Gymnasium 401 South Main Street Belle Rive, IL 62810. There will be a funeral service at 4:00 P.M. with Rev. Jeremy Hamson officiating and Military Rites will be conducted by the Mt. Vernon American Legion Post #141.
