Joyce Harper

Joyce Harper formerly of Bonnie, Illinois, beloved wife of the late Rex Harper, mother of Scott and Kip Harper and mother-in-law of Christine and Annette Harper, grandmother of Anthony and Emily Harper, grandmother-in-law of Jessica Harper, passed away on June 29, 2023 at the Friendship Manor Nursing Home in Nashville, Illinois. Joyce is also survived by her brother and his wife, Arthur “Neal” and Gloria Wangler, her sister-in-law Georgia Wangler, her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ronald and Dicy Harper, her sister-in-law Linda Harper and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Sebren and Opal Wangler, her brothers Garry and Harold Wangler and brother-in-law Rodney Harper.

Joyce was a member of the Bonnie United Methodist Church and an owner and operator of Lang Furniture of Bonnie, Illinois.

Friends may call at the Johnston Funeral Home, 102 E. 2nd Street, Ina, Illinois 62846 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 pm on Friday, July 7, 2023. Funeral services will also be held at Johnston’s Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2023. Burial will be in the Bethel Memorial Cemetery in Mt. Vernon.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Bethel Memorial Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home at any time or it can be sent to P. O. Box 197 Mt. Vernon, IL 62864.
