Leon M Welch

Leon M. Welch, 92, of Mt.Vernon, and a former Caseyville resident, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 in Mt. Vernon.
He was born in Royalton, IL on April 15, 1925, the son of James Glen & Louise (Welch) Martin. He married Bertha James Welch on June 29, 1946, and she preceded him in death on September 18, 2012. He was a World War II Veteran serving in the US Marine Corps from 1943 to 1946.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife and Sister-Betty Welch Bumpus.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, December 23rd at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Mt. Vernon with Bro. Seth Bumpus officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Military Rites performed by American Legion Post #141.
