Obituary
MARGEY PIPER, 89, of Benton passed away Sunday morning, May 28, 2023 at Herrin Hospital.
She was born in Galesburg, IL on March 24, 1934, the daughter of Glen & Louise (Rucker) Lovitt.
She married Theodore “Ted” Piper on July 28, 1950, and he died on August 2, 1989.
Mrs. Piper was a former Ward Clerk at the Union Hospital in West Frankfort. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Benton.
Mrs. Piper is survived by her:
3 Daughters: Deborah Vowels of Harrisburg
Cheri Beaty of Benton
Theresa Glover & husband John of Naperville
4 Grandchildren: Tracy Norris & husband Brian of Benton
Wes Beaty & wife Jessica of Christopher
Nathan Beaty & wife Katrina of Ewing
Eric Glover of Naperville
7 Great Grandchildren: Isaac, Olivia, Caleb, Logan, Aiden, Trevor and Trace
Mrs. Piper was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Son-in-law: Larry Beaty, 2 Grandchildren: Beth & Adam, 2 Sisters-Mary Wall & Martha Quinlon and a Brother-Clifford Lovitt.
Private Graveside services will be held.
In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to the Franklin County Animal Shelter.
