Mark Kirkpatrick Obituary

Mark Kirkpatrick, 76, of Woodlawn and formerly of Bonnie passed away at home on Monday, April 28, 2025.
Mark was born in Mt. Vernon, IL on December 21, 1948 the son of Marion & Norma (Osborn) Kirkpatrick. 
He married Wanda (Cooper) on March 21, 1970 and she preceded him in death on May 26, 1990.
Mr. Kirkpatrick was a Master Mason and an Ironworker. He was an avid Bass tournament fisherman and Harley rider. When Wanda was still alive they rode horses together and hunted together. He taught his daughter to be very independent. Later in life his main companion was his little dog "Chico". He really enjoyed going fishing with his son-in-law Jeff & step-granddaughter Tasha and going to Bingo with his daughter Heidi.
Mr. Kirkpatrick is survived by his:
Daughter: Heidi Neideffer & husband Jeff of Woodlawn
Grandson: Jesse King of Iuka
5 Step-grandchildren
Sister: Sharon Pabst & husband Leonard of Centralia
Sister: Debbie Keele & husband Jerry of Mt. Vernon
Brother: Steven Kirkpatrick & wife Teresa of Mt. Vernon
Sister: Leah Kirkpatrick of Indianapolis, IN
He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
Mr. Kirkpatrick was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Son-Tim Kirkpatrick, Grandson-Sean Kirkpatrick, Great-Granddaughter-Vivienne King and Brother-Michael.
Funeral services will be held at 1:45 P.M. on Thursday, May 1st in the chapel at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Woodlawn with Rev. Dale Burzynski officiating and Masonic Services immediately following. Burial will follow. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 1:45 P.M. on Thursday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
