Maurice L. Overturf

MAURICE L. OVERTURF, 68, of Bonnie passed away at 12:30 P.M. May 9, 2020 at his home.

He was born in Mt. Vernon, IL on July 23, 1951, the son of Leroy & Florence (Sutton) Overturf.

He married Carolyn (Patterson) on March 3, 1979.

Mr. Overturf was preceded in death by his Parents, by a brother-Robert E. Overturf, by his Father-in-law & Mother-in-law-Andrew & Lucy Patterson, by brothers-in-law-Andy Patterson, Billy Patterson, Charles Patterson & Richard Applegate, and by a nephew-Robert E. Overturf Jr.

Mr. Overturf worked at General Tire for 35 years before retiring in 2010.

He was a member of the Ina FreeWill Baptist Church, Eagles, Moose & Elks Lodges. He loved the St. Louis Cardinals and spending time with his family.

Memorials may be made to Carolyn Overturf.

Private Family Graveside services will be held at the Overturf Cemetery.

The Johnston Funeral Home in Ina is in charge of arrangements.
