Norma Jean (Allen) Harvill

Norma Jean Harvill, 96, of Mt. Vernon and formerly of Bonnie passed away Wednesday afternoon April 15, 2026 at Mt. Vernon Countryside Manor.

She was born in Bonnie, IL on December 31, 1929 the daughter of Earl & Freda (Merriman) Allen.

She married Roy C. Harvill on December 31, 1947 in Pocahontas, Arkansas and he preceded her in death on June 13, 2001.

In her younger years Mrs. Harvill attended Bonnie Church of God, then later Bonnie United Methodist Church and the last several years she attended Meadowbrook Christian Church.

Mrs. Harvill is survived by her:

Son: Steve Harvill & wife Elaine of Victoria, TX

Daughter: Susan Echols & husband Randy of Mt. Vernon

5 Grandchildren:

Jeremy Miller & wife Lori of Bonnie

Darren Harvill & wife Sandi of Hilton, New York

Lauren Elizondo & husband Nic of Houston, TX

Nichole Hudson & husband Shannon of Troy, IL

Kali Simmons & husband Brock of Murray, KY

7 Great-Grandchildren

Brother: Buddy Allen & wife Brenda of Bonnie

Brother: Donald Allen & wife Mary of Mattoon

Sister-in-law: Darlene Allen of Bonnie

She is also survived by several Nieces & Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Brothers-Paul Allen & wife Geraldine, Lowell Allen and Ray Allen & wife Trudy.

Private Family Graveside funeral services were held on Sunday April 19, 2026.
