Pastor Steven Warren Ulrey

Pastor Steven Warren Ulrey, 69, passed away Friday, December 11, 2020.
Steven was born March 17, 1951 in Breese, Illinois to Graydon Ulrey and Marjorie Swope Ulrey. He married the love of his life, Julie McLearin on August 10, 1974. Steven was currently the Pastor at St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Borger, however he pastored in the American Baptist Churches in Illinois as well as serving in the United Methodist Church Northwest Texas Conference since 1983. In all he has pastored over 10 churches. He was a great preacher but loved being a shepherd. Steven had a detailed mind and enjoyed reading and learning about history. Nothing brought more joy to his life than his grandbabies.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Graydon and Marjorie Ulrey; and his wife, Julie.
Survivors include his sons, Dan Ulrey and wife Brenda of Pampa, John Ulrey and wife Ashley of Waco; daughter, Sarah Wilhite and husband Brian of Pampa; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; brothers, Pastor Bill Ulrey and wife Janie of Holt, Missouri, Pastor Bob Ulrey and wife Sally of Borger; sister, Mary Ulrey of Amarillo; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 14th at the Franklin Cemetery in Whittington, IL. Everyone is welcome to attend.
