Richard L. Adams

Richard L. Adams, 78, of Mt. Vernon passed away Saturday evening, April 8, 2023 at SSM Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.
Richard was born in Jefferson County, IL on July 16, 1944, the son of James H. & Jane (Bliss) Adams.
He married Mildred (Wangler) on July 18, 1965.
Richard was a Truck Driver & Dispatcher for 45 years. He also operated his own lawn care business. Richard was a lifelong member of the Bonnie Church of God, where he was a Trustee, and the Worship Leader for 30 plus years. He also served as a Sunday School Teacher.  He volunteered on church work days and was involved with the Bonnie Church of God Men's Group.

Richard was preceded in death by his Parents, Brother-in-law: Dick Winder and 2 Sisters-in-law-Margie Adams & Letha Adams.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 15th at the Bonnie Church of God with Pastor Micah Arcuri officiating. Burial will be in the Kirk Cemetery in Ina. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. on Saturday at the church. 
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Bonnie Church of God Building Fund.
