Ronald Ray Ellis

Ronald Ray Ellis, 79, of Mt. Vernon passed away Wednesday morning, December 12, 2018 at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon.
He was born in Mt. Vernon, IL on October 30, 1939, the son of Wilburn & Evelyn (Lamb) Ellis.
Mr. Ellis retired after 30 years of service in the U.S. Navy, he served on nine ships, and received many awards.
Mr. Ellis is survived by his:

Karla (Jim) Bowden of Florida
Kimberly (Lou) Clifton of Mt. Vernon
Kevin Ellis
Several Grandchildren & Several Great-Grandchildren
Sister: Karen Flattich of Belleville
He was preceded in death by his Parents.
The family would like to extend their special thanks to Ron's Dear Friends:Mario & Deb Hodge, Mike & Doris Charron & Larry all of Mt. Vernon.
At Ron's request, Burial will be at Sea, and No Services will be held.
The Johnston Funeral Home in Ina is in charge of arrangements.
